Challenge
The challenge was to create a guidebook that balanced rich editorial content with clear organization and visual appeal. The publication included winery profiles, paired recipes, photography, maps, regional stories, and production details, all organized by county. The design focused on creating a clean, intuitive reading experience while maintaining a refined and cohesive visual identity throughout the book.

Solution
The design solution focused on building a strong editorial system that balanced storytelling with usability. Custom color palettes and illustrated maps were created for each county to improve navigation and establish visual continuity throughout the guide. Full-page photography opened each section to create visual rhythm and immerse readers in the regional character of the wineries. Thoughtful typography, content hierarchy, and image selection helped organize complex information into a clean, accessible, and engaging publication design.

The project also included cover design for both print and ebook formats, created to capture the character and atmosphere of the Sierra Foothills wine region while establishing a strong visual identity for the publication.
